Homework a:
i) Keep a water log for three days by recording all your uses of water in a tally chart.
ii) Research how much water is used on average per person per day in the UK and whether your water usage is typical
iii) Find out how much different this would be if you were living in an LIDC of your choosing.
Homework b:
Create an infographic or revision resource that summarises why resources are in such high demand. Tip: The 'surprising facts' from Lesson 1 were taken from an infographic. Take another look if you have forgotten what an infographic is!
Take a look at this scrolling graphic about 'the water we eat' here - list any three facts that surprised you and say why eg more than expected, less than expected.

Watch the Josette Sheehan TED talk (see below) on 'Ending hunger now'. She is the head of the UN’s World Food programme (WFP).
Read these questions BEFORE you watch her presentation. You may pause and re-watch sections to help your understanding.
1) Identify the 5 key messages that emerge from the talk
2) Identify 4 simple actions that could make the most difference to people
